• Before going for an interview, it is best to know as much as possible about the hotel. This includes their current market positions, their indirect and direct competitors, the number of people working for them, their annual turnover etc.
• Get out of the habit of saying NO, instead practice different alternatives, this is essential in this industry as you would be dealing with customer's continuously.
• Practice how you will treat and greet your customer's, clients and your seniors, every person is addressed differently.
• Never make false promises. Instead find ways and means to deliver more than what is needed.
• The products and services of the hotel you wish to get into should be at your fingertips.
• Always prepare for the next day when you get back home. This will include your clothes, check your bags that you need and make a list of important things that has to be with you at all times.
